Heather Tighe, owner and machine quilter of Quilting Concepts has been involved in quilting in one facet or another since the early 1970’s when she took an adult education class. Heather was the owner and operator of a first-class quilt shop in Wilmington, North Carolina. Over the years, Heather has taken many classes with national and international teachers both in quilt construction and/or techniques and machine quilting.  She continues to take classes in both longarm quilting and quilt construction.

Heather is a certified teacher with the National Quilting Association and a member in good standing of the National Quilting Association, Inc., the International Machine Quilting Association and American Quilter’s Society. She is also a Board Member of the North Carolina Quilt Symposium, Inc. and a member of the Board of the National Quilting Association as the Chapter Services Chair.

Heather works closely with her customers to ensure their satisfaction by providing personal attention to the details. There are many ways to personalize your quilt and Heather can help you turn your quilt top into a show and heirloom treasure. She will care for your quilt as if it were her own. Each quilt is handled individually in a smoke-free environment.

Quilting Concepts’ longarm quilting services are performed on a Millennium American Professional Quilting System outfitted with a computerized robotic system. The robotics offers state of the art stitch and design precision. There are over 4,500 quilting patterns and designs to select from. These quilting designs include blocks, borders, sashings and edge-to-edge pantographs.
